“T Dub” Discovers His “Love Recipe”

Please allow me to introduce myself…My name is T.W. Jackson, I know kinda weird…it’s a long story…you can just call me “T Dub”…I want to say right off the bat, that I am not a psychologist, Doctor or some relationship guru…In fact I royally piss off the academic types and I’ll tell you why in a second…

I have been a military brat…or in the military for a majority of my life. In fact I joined the US Navy when I was a ripe old 17 years of age. Because of my life long military experience I’ve had dozens of homes…in 11countries… and lived long term in 5 states in the U.S.

And because I have lived in so many places and changed schools so often as a kid…I had to learn…and learn REALLY FAST…how to get along with people. And people from ALL WALKS OF LIFE. I can sit down and have some sake with my friend in Tokyo…or pop open a can of suds and fish Lake Dardanelle with an Arkansas “redneck” buddy of mine…makes no difference…

More importantly…I became really good at reading people, understanding what makes them “tick” and even got to a point where I could influence their behavior and actions.

In fact, I got quite good at doing this, so good in fact that I was the “go to” guy whenever my friends had just about any kind of “people problem”…I kind of felt like the male version of “Dear Abby”…

Maybe you even know someone a little like me?…someone that you go to when you have “people problems”…

Anyway…I got a ton of practice keeping relationships together…and putting them back together after they had come apart…because the divorce rate for military couples is MUCH HIGHER than average.

WARNING: Unconventional Methods!

At this point, I must WARN YOU…STRONGLY WARN YOU…my advice and methods are VERY unconventional. I get relationship counselors and the like REALLY ANGRY because they are charging $50 to $100 an hour (sometimes for months and even years) and I can whisper just one of my methods in my friends ear…he DOES IT… And next thing you know… he’s back home, laying back on the couch and watching HOUSE with his fiance on Monday nights.

Now you are free to make up your own mind about me. I just don’t believe that any amount of sitting in a classroom can make up for the REAL WORLD experience that I have under my belt…

I mean, what’s a more valuable experience?…Listening to a lecture on libido? Or BEING THERE when my buddy’s girlfriend is chucking his clothes and skivvies out the bedroom window because she thinks he was with some tart the night before?

I don’t know about you, my money is on the guy with the real world experience any day.

How to Get Your Man Back Without Looking Desperate

If youre a female desperately trying to get your ex back, its likely youre taking a needy approach thats making you do things you normally wouldnt do. Sound familiar? 

Dont be too hard on yourself though, weve all been there. You will survive this and come out better on the other side. In the meantime, this out-of-character, desperate behavior is only pushing him farther away and making you look like a doormat in his eyes.

Stop this dead-end behavior and try the following approaches instead to win him back and grow even closer than before with your dignity intact.

1. Dont argue with him as to why the relationship ended no matter how difficult it may be. If he brings it up, just listen to him and do not disagree. Perhaps theres some truth to what he is saying? Be the bigger person and acknowledge his point and simply apologize. 

Would you rather be 100% right, or reconcile your relationship? Heres a clue - rarely is someone ever 100% right about anything. As long as you know the truth, thats all that matters. If youre in the wrong, a little humble pie goes a long way.

2. Dont point out all the reasons why he cant live without you. Men dont like it when women try to persuade them to do something theyre not ready to do. Begging him to come back only reinforces why he can in fact live without you very nicely. Keep in mind that desperate and needy are natural men-repellents.

How to Get Your Man Back Without Looking Desperate 

Men are attracted to confident women who are happy. Remember, youre a catch. Youre a prize. Any man would be lucky to have you. So dont waste your time trying to convince any man to be with you. You are your own person.

3. Taking responsibility for the breakup on your part is a huge deal. Is it really fair to blame the whole thing on him? The answer is likely no although your ego probably begs to differ. 
As the saying goes, "It takes two to make it and two to break it". If you were being totally honest with yourself, surely there were some aspects of the relationship you could have handled better.

4. Wait and let him contact you. A man (the hunter) places value on something he has to work for. Dont make things too easy for him. Rather than calling him in a moment of weakness, call a friend instead to express your feelings. 
Absence makes the heart grow fonder and eventually hell wonder what youre up to. He will contact you for one of the following reasons:

a. Hes curious how youre doing without him and wonders what youre up to
b. He wants a booty call whereby you should politely turn him down (youre broken up, remember?)
c. He genuinely misses you and wants to see you

Only agree to see him and talk if the reason is letter c.

5. Make yourself priority number one. Put yourself first for a change and only worry about you. When he approaches you, dont try to pick up where your relationship with him left off. 
Show him youve evolved both mind and spirit since you were last together. And above all else, dont let him convince you that youre the sole reason for the breakup. Who started it is irrelevant at this point. How you both handle things from here on out is what matters now.

One last thing, and please be totally honest. Is he 100% worth getting back? Is really worthy of you? Simply put, you deserve nothing but the best.
